It’s hard for me to admit this one, but it was one of the best movies I saw all year. Finally, someone found a way to make Ryan Reynolds same old shtick work in the best possible way. While there were still some lame duck jokes in the film, a bit too much fucking and the overall pacing was weird, it still managed to be a funny and entertaining R-rated movie.

I’m glad about that because I’m tired of seeing soft ass PG-13 superhero movies all the time. Sure, now we’ll get a flood of them, but at least we got one good one first. I say all this, and I haven’t even mentioned why this is shocking to be on my list… I hate Deadpool. Hate him. Hate everything they do with him in the comics, video games, variant covers. The sheer mention of his name sends me into a blind rage and so for me to put this fucking film on my list… it took a lot. Take that how you want… the sequel will probably suck and bomb.
