New Liverpool based indie comic publishing house to launch at Thought Bubble
Press Release
2017, Liverpool: Cog Life Comics wages war against the mundane world, as they launch their first comic, Isolation, at this years Thought Bubble Sequential Art Festival on 23rd September.
Founded in January 2017, Cog Life Comics have been hard at work creating their first book, Isolation, which brings together three unique stories based on the theme of Isolation. Isolation will also be joined at Thought Bubble by 2015 Running Awards’ shortlisted graphic novel, The Art of Running, which writer Matt Crehan brought to Cog Life Comics as he joined original founding members Mike West, Jon Slater, and Declan Montgomery. When asked about Isolation and joining Cog Life Comics, Crehan said:
“What engaged me most about Cog Life and Isolation, is we’re trying to do something different ‘Escape the Machine’ of everyday life, both in our books like Isolation, but also in who we are as a team. I mean let’s face it, Mike is an Alt-country musician in the vein of a modern day ‘Johnny Cash’ and I’m a National level distance runner, so we’re not the A-typical bunch of comic book creators and that shows in our books!”
