The thing I’ve come to love about comic books is that you can read ten comics in one week and they’ll all be completely different from one another, but each great in its own way. For instance take Doctor Mirage which has a sliver of the superhero genre as inspiration, but mostly resides in the supernatural adventure genre.

Wytches is a comic that keeps on getting better, and for a series that started out as good as it was right out of the gates, that’s certainly saying something.
Read MoreReview: Rocket Salvage #1
Rocket Salvage 1 made me feel a bit like a kid again, and given the amount of stress I have in my life, that’s no easy task. So thank you, Yehudi Mercado, for de-stressing me for a while. This is not a perfect first issue by any means, but Mercado has created a story that’s satisfying, entertaining, and worth your time and money.

Bob’s Burgers continues to be an incredibly fun comic. #5 features a zombie story, a boy band, and robot college. Honestly, what’s not to love?
Read MoreReview: Lobster Johnson Vol. 4: Get The Lobster
Get the Lobster is, like its titular character, swift, brutal, and haunting. And super awesome.
Read MoreReview: Predator: Fire and Stone #3 (of 4)
Galgo, now tethered to the Predator, finds himself back on the moon where he stranded some of his crewmates.
Read MoreReview: Mono #1
I started reading Mono while trying to get the taste of Captain Stone out of my mouth-- I mean, not like that, I mean... never mind.
Read MoreReview: Rogue Trooper Classics #8
There is no denying that I have thoroughly enjoyed this run of “Classics” of the legendary 2000AD character Rogue Trooper. Each issue has been a renewal for me of a character that I had dug on pretty seriously back in the days when I wore a younger man’s clothes.

The demo of Street Fighter 5 or SF V as I like to call it was played at the Capcom Cup by fighting game community staples--Mike Ross and Peter "Combofiend" Rosas. It was pretty interesting to see two great competitors dive in for the first time and see what the title has to offer. Granted only Ryu and Chun-Li were available, this game still looks like there are a ton of surprises in store.
Read MoreReview: The Flash 1.09 - The Man In The Yellow Suit
The Flash midseason finale was about 60% unrequited love story, and 40% unsolved man-in-the-yellow-suit mystery. It was a terribly unsatisfying episode, and was just generally boring. Skip this one.

I’ll start this one off by simply reiterating what many others have said about this comic- damn, it’s nice to read a comic intended for my laptop screen.
Read MoreReview: Headspace #5
How could you not buy Headspace based off of that cover? You can’t! But with all the awesomeness of the front cover going on, I still think the backcover brings up more questions. We know Shane and other people are stuck in Max’s mind, so the front cover makes sense.

Read MoreReview: Hexed #5
Hexed made a big splash with its first story arc. It came out of nowhere and delivered a story that had plenty of character moments, magic and most importantly the majority of its cast and supporting characters were all women. I still can’t think of another series that has so many female characters driving the story and isn’t just a ploy for sales and Tumblr attention.
