Last issue I wondered how this comic was going to work as an ongoing story. Turns out only so-so. The first story starts with the humans that were woken from cryo-sleep last issue.

Have you ever wondered what would happen if Jack Kirby was still alive and kicking, had smoked a metric shitload of pot, and started making indie comics? That’s kind of how I felt after finishing Nightworld: Midnight Sonata.

Read MoreReview: Oink: Heaven's Butcher
Oink: Heaven's Butcher is too serious to be considered satire, but too scatter-brained to be a successful allegory. Every panel is beautifully rendered, but outside of any one panel Oink leaves the reader wanting more.

It being the year 2015 and all, I shouldn’t have to tell you guys that Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips are collaborators of that rare type, like Miller/Janson, Lee/Kirby, and Morrison/Quitely who have discovered the ability to capture lightning in a bottle.

Well if this isn’t the month for long-awaited returns of some of my favorite MonkeyBrain titles! Unlike The October Girl, I don’t remember when I last read Henchmen Inc., just that I liked it and was ready for more.

It’s a great feeling as a reader and reviewer to know that you “got” something. In the case of Fight Like A Girl #4, it’s what I’ve been saying all along. I won’t resay it here because then that would start the review with a hell of a spoiler.

Ready for the shortest review ever? Well it’s happening because Danger Club #7 was a fast read. It was good issue, but there isn’t anything I can say that would be in-depth about it.

Holy shit. This episode of Agent Carter gave me everything I wanted from the finale of this fine show. Just finished watching it and I’m all hyped up, I want to watch both Captain America movies, the One-Shot and then re-watch the whole series again.

Okay you got me. I’m glad I read Zombie Tramp #8 if only for the ending and what it sets up. This volume started off interesting, but then with the rotating art duties and Janey basically getting out of every situation the same way it made it a bit dull.
