Review: VS Aliens

If you’re into manga there’s a publisher that you may not have heard about called Gen Manga. If you have then you’re probably loving their comics since they’re unlike anything being brought over from Japan to the states. To put it in terms that average comic readers understand they’re the Image Comics of manga.

Trailer Time: Take Care

Okay so this movie isn't going to be for everyone. Even I can admit that more than likely it will be very predictable and about as deep as any romantic comedy can be... but it has Leslie Bibb from Trick'r'Treat starring in the film and I like her. She's easy on the eyes and her acting is cute. Don't judge me!

Review: American Nature Presents – Limited Edition

If you’re unfamiliar with American Nature then you’re not trying hard enough. It’s the only indie comic that manages to capture the humor of MAD Magazine, but with actual modern stories and characters. Review: Punk Ass Samurai #1

At first glance you’re likely to think that Punk Ass Samurai is the newest manga to be ported over from Japan; and why wouldn’t you? You can tell that the story is personal to Stromberg and maybe even one that she’s been working on for a while, after all her website is the name of the comic and the main character shares her name.

Review: BobWars #1

While I was walking around New York Comic Con meeting people and doing interviews I was also on the hunt for new indie creators and series. One such creator was Ceri Stromberg who had a table set up with three titles for sale. I picked up BobWars and Corrsolla Robot to check out so check back for the second review as we dive into BobWars.

Review: Blackwood State – Tales of Englishness #0

One gem that I picked up at New York Comic Con was Blackwood State – Tales of Englishness. There was something about the clean linework on the cover and the angry-looking female protagonist that caught my eye. After creator Ivan O’Neill was done hitting on beard, and yes I do mean just my beard he seemed to care very little for the man it was attached to, I took my bounty and moved on. I wish I hadn’t because I had a question upon finishing the issue… when will there be more?
